MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT
THE CITY HALL TUESDAY, JULY 11th, 1944, 7:45 P.M.
The meeting was oalled to order by pres'dent F.B.
Roe, other Councilmen present be'ing F.R.Rigby and R.M.
Castner. City Attorney Irving F. Morse and City Clerk
Ri~ F. Rouse were also present. . ' ,

Mr. Higby made a motion that the City Attorney be
inst~oted to bring suit to foreclose on all properties
that are delinquent on the City books, on whioh the owners
haTe paid the State and County taxes to date. The motion
was seoonded by Mr. Castner, and on roll oall, the vote
was as follows: Ayes-Castner, Higby, Roe; N~es-none; absent
Gaines, Staokhouse. So the motion carried.
Mr. Higby made a motion that the City Attorney be
instructed to negotiate for the purchase of lands re~erted
to the Sta te under the Murphy Law. The moti on was
seoonded by Mr. Castner, and on roll oall the Tote was
as follows: Ayes-Castner, Rigby, Roe; Noes-none; absent-
Gaines, StaOkhouse. So the motion carried.
There being no further business at this time, the
Council Adjourned, to meet at the oall of the president.
