The Moeting ~as called to order by vice-prosident
Geo. Nagol, other Counc i1nen present be ing G. \V. Gaines
and R. V. Miller. Mayor H. C. Brown, Tax hssossor'G. A.
Nash, and City Clerk R. F. House v/ere also present.

Minutes of tho Board of Equalization meeting held
August 11th, 1942 were read and approved.
I\'lr rJr.1 Bess asked reconsideration of tho raise in
his assessment in Fairview Place, but after co~parisons
with other property it was unani,ously agreed by the
Board that tho assessnent of ~1500.00 as sot at the
neeting i\,ugust 11, 1942 shall stand.
Mr. Kessler asked reconsideration of tbr-) actio:a of
tho:) Board in raising the assessment on his store building
to ~~6, 000. Aftor considerable discussion, tl;e Board
agreed unanimously that the assossmont set by the Boal'd
at the moeting August 11, 1942, shall stand.
Ivir. Don Smith askod consideration be given the raise
in his assessment on Don's Service Station, in block 91.
After conside'C'able discussion it was unanimously agreed
that the assessment be put back to ~~2400, tho ar.lOunt set
by tho Tax Assessor.
A letter from hr. Rollin Ebinger asking consideration
of the raise in assessment on his place in block 56, and
after discussion, it vms unanimously agreed by the Board
that the assessment of' $2275 as set by the Board August 11,
1942 shall stand.
A letter from fur. C. B. Vfuito regarding the,valuatmon
of the Lake Highlands Hotel property was road, and after
considerable discussion, the Board agreed unanh10usly to
reduce the as ses sment f;~2500 to ;~l7, 500.
Atty Morse asked reconsideration of the a asassment
of R.M.Stackhouse 011 lot 13, Clermont Heights; but the
Board agreed that the aEmssr.1ent of ~~2425 as set by the
Assessor Shall stand.
There being no further complaints, the Board Adjourned.
