M HnITES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE Crry COUNCIL
HELD AT THE CI1Y HALL TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 1942, 8:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by president H.R.Harper,
other Councilmen present being Geo. Nagle and R.V.Miller.
Mayor H.C.Brovm, City Attorney Irving F. Morse, Marshal G.B.
McCain, street Supt. R.F.Ande~son and City Clerk R.F.House
were also present.

Geo. Nagel reporterT for the Committee on Street lights,
that a survey had been made, and the Com~itteo believed that
a few of the lights could be eliminated, and that a few were
needed, but that it would be impossible to get any extensions
to the circuit at this time. There is a. need for warning
reflectors on dead end streets, and the COIT'J'Tlittee was contin-
ued to find out the cost of these and to report at the nBxt
meeting.
MEW or Brown reported for the Cornmi ttee on Recreation
Park for t e Colored peeple, t~.at fIhe School Board had
given permission for the use of about four acres north of the
school grounds in Lincoln Heights.
There was some discussion of tho extension of bus
service from Orlando thru Clermont to Groveland, and Atty
Morse said he would contact some men in Orlando who might
ha.ve influence in getting this extension.
Mr. Morse explained to the Council that part of the
Refunding plan in reference to the disbursement of the
Delirnquent Tax Note Fund, and said he would r.t8. ve a s ta i"oemen t
prepared for the next meeting.
The City Clerk was instructed to answer a letter from
Mr. E.G. Winston regarding the water serv~ce at his home.
Mr. I'Iiller made a motion, seconded by Mr. Nagel, that
the 1941 taxes on lots 3 to 10 incl., block 44, be reduced
$3.60, on account of error in assessing a building that aMolmt
when tne building had been torn do~~ before 1941. Vfuen put
to a vote, the motion carried.
T}lere being no further business at this time, the
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the president.
