11-04-1941 Regular Meeting OITY OF OLERMONT. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR 1mETING OF THE OITY OOUNOIL HELD AT THE OITY HALL TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th, 1941, 8:00 o'clock P.M. ~ .., The meeting was called to order by President O. H. Keene, other OOlIDcilmen present being O. W. Gaines, H. R. Harper, and B. V. Miller. Mayor H. O. Brown, Marshal G. H. McOain, City Attorney Irving ]1. Morse, Street and Water Superintendent R. F. Anderson were also present. Minutes of meeting of October 7th were read and approved. 1myor Brown reported that he, O. W. Gaines Martin attended an O. P. Fire Ohief Achord reported no fire calls, and fire engine checked each week and fonnd O. K. ~here was some discussion of the distribution of over- head street lights, and the Street Lighting Oommittee agreed to look them over a~d report at the next meeting if any changes should be made, and cost of same. Mr. Gaines reported that Mr. Ebinger had agreed to let several of the high school boys tryout a fire drill and Mr. Miller made a motion, which was seconded by Mr. Gaines and carried, that Fire Ohief Achord would tryout these drills them. w7 Mr. Harper made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gaines,that Mr. Keene have vacant city lots disked with the assistance of the city crew moving the equipment across streets, working five days at ~1.25 per hour. vvhen put to a vote, the motion carried. / Mr. Harper made a motion that a notice be/put in the paper that occupational licenses must be paid by ~ovember 15th or steps wOlud be taken to enforce collection, and the Oity woul~ not pay the bills due firms whose occupational licenses or personal taxes were delinquent. ~he motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and,when put to a vote, carried. ll'he Street Superintendent reported that he needed five barrels of asphalt for patching streets, and rear tires for the street truck. He was instructed to get specifications of the tires needed and the Oity Clerk to ask bids from ~he local tire dealers, and buy the tires on the bid approved by the Street Committee.
