09-24-1940 Special Meeting CITY OF CLER.~LONT Minutes of a special meeting of the City Council held at the City Hall, Tuesday, September 24, 1940, 4:15 p. m. '~ ~' The meeting was called to order by President O. H. Keene, other Councilmen present being A. M. Johnson, Roy Lassiter, and Mayor H. C. Brown. Mayor Brovm presented resignation from 1Iarshall H. S. Cleaver. Mr. Johnson made a '. _. 'm.0tion that the resignation be accepted, to take effect as~~ ~ Gt...- suitable man can be found to take his place. The motion w::'s seconded by Mr. Lassiter and when put to a vote the motion carried.
