CITY OF~-CLERMONT.
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE
CITY HALL, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1939, 7:30 P.M.
The meeeing was called to or~der by President O.H.Keene,
other Councilmen present being R.L.Lassiter, F. B. Roe, and
R. M. Stackhouse; absent, A.M. Johnson. Mayor Brown was also
present.

The City Clerk read the Certificate of the Clerk and
Inspectors as to the results of the election held Dec.l~,1939:
"We, the undersigned Inspectors and Clerk of' Election
do hereby certif'y the result of' the election held this date

Mr. Lassiter made a mot~n that, having canvassed the
returns of' the election, the Council declare the f'ollowing
persons legally elected:
For Mayor- H.C.Brown
For Treasurer-~o. Brady
For Assessor- w.~~.Thomas
For Councilmen f'or two years- O.H.Keene and F.B.Roe.
The motion was secnnded by Mr. Stackhouse and when put to
a vote, carried unanimously.
Mr. Stackhouse made a motion, senonded by Mr. Lassiter
and carried, that Mr. l~r.T.Williams help UXXUi'i the City Clerk
set up the new journal for taxes and paving, and the proper
ledger accounts.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned,
to meet at the call of' the president.
