The meeting was called to order by Ueo 1.Vestbrook,
City Attorney, who stated that the meeting was called to
discuss the handling of the Bond settlement.

Councilmen present were O.H.Keene, A.M.Johnson,
R. L. Lass iter, FB. Roe, and R. r.1. Stackhouse. T::ayor H. C.
Brown, and City Clerk R.F.House were also present. The
following na. rre d ci tizens of Cle rmont were present also &
Irving Morse, C.O.Bryson, R.'"!.SiIIlI'ls, Wm Nordyke, D.M.
Lochner, Geo. Robinson, F.B.Kreider, and S.~. B6vman.
r~r. Westbrook stated t:hst Leedy VVheeler Co. now
had ~XHKXKa*KKXKX~~ signed agreements with holders
of 5276 of the outstanding Bonds, and nearly that p".:rcentage
of coupons or accrued interest.
There was some discussion as to the cost of Court
proceedings and lav~ers fees under the Wilcox Munieipal
Bancruptyy Act, and riIr. H.L.Jollay, Attorney from Winter
Haven, who has participated in the settlement of debts
in Sebring, Avon Park, Palmetto, and Arcadia, said that
these costs should not exceed ~4,OOO.OO for Clermont.
Mr. Stackhouse made a motion that the City go ahead
with the refunding as outlined, Mr Westbrook to look after
the legal part with the assistance of Mr. Henry Jollay.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Roe, and when put to a vote,
ca rri ed unanimously.
r,~r Jollay agreed to draw up a new contract, changing
the dates of new bonds and assessment of taxes, and submit
same to Mr. Westbrook and fur. Leedy at Tallahassee for their
approval; Mr Vlestbrook to t',.'en send it to the Ci ty Council
for acceptance.
There being no further business, tne meeting was
adjourned, to meet at the call of the president.
