Dear r5I'. Brown:
In connection w~th the Clermont Refunding program,we
are glad to advise that 11'1.) are !i1a Idng vliba t we cons ider
ent irely sa tisfactory pro gress with more than $300, 000 ~
bond8 commi tted to tl1 e program, out of a total of Ie ss
than ~450,000 needed to get this dnder the Wilcox Bill.
The Flori da I~unici:pa 1 Bondho}.c.~e rs General Protective
Cormni ttee is now returrn~ng to its deposi tors all Cle,o'mont
Bonds deposited with it, ann recornme:lding that these
bondholders sign up with us in the rtefunding Program.
!!! that we have gotten in touch with have already agreed
to do this, and we feel that within the next sixty days
we will have ~cre than the required amount to get into t1m
Court. Since only a portion of this Con~ittee's bonds
will ~ive us more than the margin of consents we need,
we are naturally optomistic about Clermont's situation.
This is more progress than we had anticipated we
would be able to make on a deal whr)re tho bondholder is
re quired to give up practically all his past uue interest
as well as GO~; of l:.is principal investr:1Emt. ",'e :feel,
therefore, tl1e success of this program is assured.
Very tnlly yours,
Leedy 1.JJ1(~eler & Co.
