lIINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD
AT THE CITY HALL, JULY 6, 1937, 7:50 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by President O.H.Keene,
other Councilmen present b'ing A.M. Johnson and F.B.Roe.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

By motion of Roe,seconded by Johnson, which carried,

Mr. Johnson reported that the Committee to see about
fixing an wxtra room for Colored prisoners, decided the
cost would be too much to have the work done now. Also
t~at the cost of putting in street lights at the intersection
of HighJand and East Aves. and at Seminole and East Ave was
more than the City could' afford ~t this time.

After som~ discussion on new tires for the Fire Truck
it. was decided to postpone the purchase to a later date.
A letter from Mr. G. A. Nash and Bob Whitney, asking
for a more adequate water supply was read, but after
considering the amount of material needed to enlarge the
water line, the Council decided the City would have to

Mr. Roe made a motion that a concrete approach from the
West side of Bowman Stree t to Division Street be made at ~
as low cost as possible. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Johnson, and carried. -
Mr. E. T. Brantly brou~nt up t e matter of inspection
fees for electrical ~DB~tDu~b~on, comparing fees of the
Clermont ordinaBce adopted seversl years ago with ,those
charged by Orlando at present. Af~er some discu3sion
Mr. Roe made a motion, which was seconded by Mr. Johnson
and carried, that Section 6. of KN~~~~ Chapter XIX be
amended, n!akmg thC3 inspection fees as follows:

Minimum charge up to 10 outlets or fixtures _
Bach additional outlet of fixture _ _ _ _ _ _
Each Cooking or heating device using over 600 w.
Fees on other abticles as in old ordinance
For inspection of electrical construction in poured
concrete the fee shall be .50 for each inspection and
.25 for each outlet. Fees for fixtures the same as
on ordinary construction.
