Minutes regular adjourned meeting of the Clermont city Counci held at the City Hall September 10th, Meeting called to order at 7;30 P.M. By President Keene. By motion which was seconded and carried the marshall aRK was a.thorized to have the upstairs room in the . city hall converted into a jail room providing the cost did not exceed '50.00 Councilman Robinson then introduced the following Ordinance; AN ORDINANCE REGULKfING AND LICENSING. THE MANUFACTURE, DISTHIBUTION AND SALE OF BEVERAGES CONTAINING MORE THAN ONE PER CENTUM OF ALCAHOL BY WEIGHT; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIDLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND filiPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, which was read in full and numbered Ordinance .umber 24. Councilman Robinson then moved that the rules be waived \ and that Ordinance Number 24 be placed on it's second reading and passage, which was seconded by Councilman Kern and upon vote being taken the motion carried unanimously. Thereupon Ordinance Number 24 was read in full and upon roll call the vote was as follows; Ayes; RObinson, Kern, lieede NAyes; None So the Ordinance passed title as stated and was signed by the President of the City Council and the City Clerk al19. immediately certiried to the Mayor. Minutes regular adjourned meeting Sept. 9th, Sheet 2 After some discussion with rererence to putting the street lights back on the Che1rman or the Council and Street Lighting Committee were instructed to confer with orficials or the Florida Public Service Compa~ with rerer- ence to rates. ~ ., By motion which was seconded and carried the Clerk was instruc~ed to order used fire DYdrants and have same iastalled. One at the corner of High!and and Firth Street one at the center or ~ract V in the eights on Minnehaha Avenue and one just back of the resiaence or Chas R. Short. The clerk then read an application from James H. George ror a license to sell spirituous liquors ror consumition either on or off the premises in the West lower rloor or belonging to S.S. Fesler at the South East corner or Eighth and Montrose Street. After some discussion the clerk was instructed to issue the license upon payment or the ree. The clerk then read an application rrom W.P. Frisz ror a license to sell spirituous liquors for consumption either on or orr the premises in building belonging to Emma S. Ensor at the Northeast corner or Montrose and Twelrth Street. After some discussion the clerk was instructed to issue the lincnse upon payment or the ree.
