Council9mn Ogden then introduced the following ordinance; AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND LICENSING THE MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION AND SALE OF BEVERAGES CONTAINING MORE THAN ONE PER CENTUM OF ALCAHOL BY WEIGHT; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIDLATION OF THIS ACT, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HE~VITH, which was read in full and numbered Ordinance Number 22. Councilman Robinson then moved that the rules be waived and that Ordinance Number 22 be placed on its second readinl and passage. The motion was seconded by Councilman Roe and upon vote be!ng taken carried unanimously. Thereupon Ordinance Number 22 was read in full and upon roll call the voue was as tollows; ~ ~ Ayes; Ogden, Roe, Kern, Robinson, Keene. Noes; None So the Ordinance passed title as stated and was signed by the President of the City Council and the City Clerk and immediately certified to the Mayor. Minutes regular meeting Aug. 6th, Sheet NO.c1 After some discussion with reference to cleaning the water tank the chairman of the water committee was instructed to have same cleaned. The clerk repoeted that the cheapest stop signs he had been able to locate was $1.69 for an enameled sign 24 X 24. The chairman of the street committee was authorized to get the number of signs necessary ~ ~ Councilman Robinson then introduced the following resolution; WHEREAS, the City of Clermont is indebted unto Isom Blackburn in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars for pipe to extend the water main to his residence. WHEREAS, the city has no available funds with which to pay the hill. NOW, therefore be it resolved that the proper officers of the 6ity of Cler.mont be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver unto the said Isom Blackburn, a certificate of indebtedness in the sum of $200.00' without in~erest, payee to accept water at the regulaD rates in payment of this certificate. The resolution was adopted by motion which was seconded and carried. ~ motion which was seconded and carried Messrs. Ware, Rovinson and Keene, were naned on a committee to outline WPA Projects for Clermont and meet with Director Swope or his representative at eh Ci~ Hall at Ten O'Clock Fri4ay morning August 9th. By motion which was seconded and carried Marshall Sullens was granted a two weeks vacation with pay, and Mayor Ware was authorized to name a special policeman to take his place . during his absence. . Councilman Robinson then introduced" the following Ordi~~~~: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7, OF ORDINAN CE NUMBER ~9, OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES, which"was read in full and numbered Ordinance Number 23. Councilman Roe then moved that the rales be waived and that ordinance Number 23 be placed on it's second reading and passage. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kern and upon vote being taken carried unamiously. Thereupon Ordinance Number 23 was read in full and upon roll call the vote was as followsj Ayesj Ogden, Kern, Roe, RObinson, Keene. Noes; None. So the Ordinance passed title as stated and was signed by the President of the City Council and the ,City Clerk and 1mmediately certified to the Mayor.
