07-04-1933 Regular Meeting Minutes regular meeting Clermont City Council held at the city hall July 4, 1933 Meeting called to order at 7;30 P.M. by President House. Members present Short, Perry & Kern. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The ~reasurers Report showed the following balances in the various funds. General $18.49. Klemm Estate $454.52 Water 393.19. ~ ~ I The Following bills were approved and ordered paid. Sullins 95.00 ~ From Water Fund / Florida Public Service Co., $102.30 Mr. Short then introduced the following ordinance; AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF RUBBISH, JUNK AND UNSIGHTLY ARTICLES, INCULDING JUNKED AumOMOBILES, OR PERMITTING THE SAME TO BE KEPT WITHIN 300 FEET OF ANY PAVED STREET IN THE CITY OF CLERMONT, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. which was read in full and numbered Ordinance Number 16. Mr. Kern then moved that the rules be waived and that Ordinance Number 16 be placed on it's second reading and passage. The motion was seconded by Councilman Perry and upon vote being taken the motion carrie d unamiously. Thereupon Ordinance NUlpber 16 was read in full and upon roll call the vote was as follows; I Ayes; Kern, Short, Perry and House. Noes; None So the ordinance passed title as stated and was signed by the President of the City Council and the City Clerk and immediately certified to the Mayor. The ordinance appears in the Ordinance book in full. ~ -., After some discussion with reference to lowering the water rates it was agreed to postpone the matter for thirty days until it is .seen how collections come in during the month of JUly.
