06-06-1933 Regular Meeting Minutes regular meeting Clermont City Council held at the city Hall June 6, 1933 Meeting called to order at 7;30 P.M. By President House Councilmen present Short, Perry Miller Kern and Mayor Winston. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Marsahll Sullens reports one city arreat, 5 county arrests and that both jails have been cleaned out, screened and put in a sanitary condition. The treasurers report shows the "following balances in the varluus funds. General Fund $20.19. Klemm Estate Fund $454.52 Water Fund $639.26 The following bills were approved and ordered paid. Hill amounting to $11.00 for work on street was not allowed. By mobion which was seconded and carried the olerk was instructed to colleot water bill from Mr. Hill or out the water off. Mrs. K.D. Chase then submitted the assessment 1%8 roll for the,year 1933 totalling $1,057.899.00 Mrs. J.U. Johnson the presented a petition signed by 29 oitizens asking &hat the Council pass an ordiaanoe making it unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to have within the oity limits within 300 feet of any pave street aDlcolleotion of any jUnkea automobiles, or oGher HHI~~tly oolleotion of junk or rubbish that will marr the or any section of our city or adversely affect ~i Minutes meeting 6/6/33 Sheet No. 2 the value of property located near any such junk yaH~ or collection of rubbish. By motion which was seconded and carried the city clerk was instructed to have such an ordInance prepared. I By motion which was seconded and carried, a bid of W.D. Tyler of $5.00 cash, and walling the east side of the shed immediately South of the old wel~, was accepted for the building at the foot of West Avenue namely the main part of the building. The shed part over and just South of the old well to be repaired by Mr. Tyler. Mr. Short then introduced the following ordinance; AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING PERSONS~ FIRMS or CORPORATIONS SELLING 3.2 ~RR CENT BEER and 3.2 PER CENT ALCOHOLIC FRUIT JUICES IN THE CITY OF CLERMONT TO OBTAIN A LICENSE, 'AND PROVIDING BENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE,' Whic~ was read in full and numbered Ordinance No. 15. Mr. erry then moved that the rules be waived and that Ordinance Number 15 be placed on its second reading and passage. The motion was seconded by Councilman Short and upon vote being taken the motion carried unanimously.
