Mr. Kern introduced the following ordiaance; AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL OFTHE CITY OF CLERMONT FOR THE YEAR 1$~2; PROVIDING FO R THE RAIS,ING OF MONEY WITH WHICH TO OPERATE THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT DURING THEYEAR Lt933; PROVID mG A TAX LEVY FOR SUCH' PURPOSES; ANDPROVIDING A BUDGET OF EXPENSES AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR~ ~ ~ which .as read in full and numbered "Ordinance Number 12." Mr. Kern M9ved that the rules be waived, and that Ordiaance Number 12 be placed on its second reading and passage} The motion was seconded by Councilman perr,r, and upon vote being taken, the motion carried unanimously. Thereupon Ordinance Number 12 was read in full and upon ro1T call the vODe was as follows; ~es; Kern, Perry, French. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Citizens Bank of Clermont be and is hereby designated as the ofFicial depository for ~ll the funds of tJ::e City of Clermont and that the City reaSUI'er be and is hereby authorized and directed to deposit all funds of the City of Clermont in such depository until further order of the Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That whBBever the amount of city funds on deposit in said dep~sitory shall be in excess of the sum of $1,000.00 the City lrea~er shall require security for the amount of such excess, such security to be approved by the city council if of any nature other than obligations of the United States of America. BE IT FURTHER RESOLV,D, that the 6ity (J1erk and 'fax collector, the City rea surer and the City Marshall shall .:ih1rnish bonds on their behalf in suoh anounts as may be f1l.xed by the city council from t1me to time, such bonds to be executed by some corporate surety Company properly authorized to transaot business in the state of Florida and the form of such bond to be approved by the City Attorney. The surety and/or sureties under any such bonds on behalf of any officials of the city of Clermont are hereby fully relieved of any responsibility for the loss of city funds 4ue to the failure or suspension of any bank in which city funds may be deposited.
