Minute Regular adjourned meeting Clermont City Council
held at the 01ty Hall October 8, 1929.
Meet~ng called to order at Seven Thirty P.M. by
President Maves, Counoilmen present Simms, Short,
~'rench, Tabor, Mayor Davenport and attorney \lestbrook.

It was moved, seoonded and carried that the permim/given
the Florida Public Servioe Co., be'resoinded until the
street Committee look o~er the situation and advise them
where to set the poles.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the water rate
be amended to read as follows;
First 4,500 gallons ~l.pO .
~ext 5500 gallons 25 oents per thousand gallons.
Next 15,000 gallons 20 cents per thousand gallons
Next 75,000 gallons 15 oents per thous:.nd gallons
Next 400,000 gallons 12i oents per thous':lnd gallons
Allover 500,000 gallons 10 cents per thousand gallons
It was moved, seconded and oarried that no more mon~
be sentto Fairbanks, Morse & Co., for the pumping
equipment until the trouble oaBsing vibration is oorreoted.
Mr. Tabor then introduced the following ordiaanoe;

TAXES DU3 THE CITY OF U~~B1{ONT: AUTHORIZING THE
UANCELLATION OF TAX SALE CERTI~ICATES H~LD ~Y THE CITY
OF CLERMONT UPON THE PAYlJJENT OF THE ADJUST:ID AMOUNT
BY THE O\1N:J:R OR OTHZR PERSON INTER~STZD PRIOR TO
JANUARY 1, 1930, whioh was read in' full and numbered
"Ordinance Number 41'.
Mr. Short then moved that the rules be waived, and that
O~dinanoe No.4 be plaoed onn its seoond reading and'
pa~sage; the motion was seconded by Mr. Simms and upon
vote being taken the motion varried unanimously. Thereupon
Ordinanoe Number 4 was read in full and upon roll call the
vote was as follows; Ayes; Simms, Short, Maves, Frenoh
and Tabor. Noes; None.
So the ordinanoe was passed title as state~, and was
signed by the president of the oounoil and the city
olerk andiimmediately certified to the Mayor. The
ordinance appears here in full
