A petition signed by taxpayers that Highland Avenue between Fourth and Fifth Streets be repaired was referred to,the Street Committee. The street oommittee was also authorized to fix the corner at Seoond Street and Mlmleola Lake Shore Drive. It was moved, seoonded and oarried that the City Purohase the Oak Hill Cemetary for a consideration of 11,000.00 cash, providing clear title, could be furnished to same. Mr. T.C. Cork volunteered to look into the matter of title without cost to the city. It was moved, seconded and carried that the insurance policy on the City Hall in the amount of $J4;fOO.OO be renewwd fD~ three years. It was moved, seconded and carried that $470.00 be transferred from the Delinquent Tax Fund, and $130.00 fro the Unestimated Revenues Fund to the General Fund and tha the General Fund Loan the Water Fund $600.00 Reverend John Page Jones, then app.a~e4 before the Counci requesting an appropriation of t60.00 per month beginning Sept..her I, 1929 to apply toward the salary of an ~f-l.t18 director, in conjunction with the School Trustees,.f~rent Teachers Association, Kiwanis Club and the ~I!I Q:1vrc Club."
