A petition was read asking the 00uncil to place a street light at the co~er of ~ake Avemue and montrose ~treet. The matter was referred to the street committee. ~he clerk then read a complaint from Mrs. Brand that her property in Clermont ~eights was assessed too high, asking that it be lowerei. After some discussion it was voted to let the assessment remain the same. ' The Ulerk then read the following petitions for candidacy to office in the coming election to be held uecember 11th. The petitions were legally made out and the Ulerk was ordered to place the names of the candidates on the ballott .IY1ap-O r ; ~11.,~..l)a venp'ort , Treasurer; F.B. Roe Tax Assessor; O.H. Keene Councilmen; u.L. Brotherston, S.P. ~re~ch, h. ~i[. Simms, l!:.H. Shelver, u.Eo :J.;~bor, DY motion which was seconded and carried Paul Settle was named for clerk, and S.S. Fesler, G.L. Kindred and A.E. Isaac, were mamed as inspectors in the coming election. There being no further business the meeting adjourned to meet at the call of the president.
