Minutes regd1ar meeting Clermont City Council
held at the City Hall Feb. 7, 1928.
Meeting oa11ed to order at seven thirty by president Maves,
Councilmen present, Mi1ls,Westbrook, Tabor ,and Simms, Mayor
McKinney, Attorney West~rook and olerk Kindred.
Af~er some disoussion regarding a balance the Standard Asphalt
Co., claims the city owes them ~or work and patching the streets
a motion carried that this subject be postponed for another
thirty days.
Mr~ Jerry Dingess presented a bill for $75.00 for assisting in
maki~ the 1927 assessmant. By motllon which was seoonded and
carr~ed this bill was tabled for a future meeting.
Mr~ Fred Krieder asked the Council if they ~ou1d assist in
dredging out the canal DD connecting Lakes Wemona and
Minnehaha providing the citizens would raise a like amount.
Mr. .Mi11s made a motion that the council furnish an amount
not to exceed $75.00 providing citizens would raise a like ~ount.
The mQtion was seconded and upon being put to a vote by the
chairm.an carried. .
Min~tes of previous meetings read and after correcting p~~~g~~pb
eight.in the minutes of January 24th to read as follows,
Bill ot James B. Moore & Co., in the amount ot"$956.93 for
balance due on auditing books was read and approved providing
they make no further charge for getting the report in shape.
for appDoval by the council,' were approved. "
Bill of Public'Service Co., amounting to $1582.50
balance due fram last year on street lighting was postponed
t~ll another meeting.

A motion was made seconded and carried that the services
of L.R. Woodall who bas been acting as city janitor
in the hall be discontinued.
Atter same discussion regarding a balanae due the
Eureka Fire Hose Company in the~:amount ot $3884.74
a motion aarried that the interest, which is included
in this bill amountine; to $262.44 be pa11l.d. $162.44 out
of the fire fund and $100.00 out of the general tund.

A motion carried that the report be accepted.
A motion was mado seconded amd carried that a telephone
be installed in the marsha11s house . Bill to be paid by the
city. The motion also inc1udled that water for the marshal1s
residence be furnished by the city.
Attorney Westbrook repoeted that he and city engineer
Gibson had been unable to get up estimates on various projects
but would try to have same ready by Monday of next week.
There being no further buliness the meeting adjour.ned to
meet at the call of the president.
