Tho following wore present upon roll call : President, H. C. Brown; Councilman C. E. Tabor, H. F. BaileY' and U. M. Davenport; W. N. tIcKinney, Mayor, 1S8m Blackburn, City Clork, and Goo. F. Uostbrook, City Attorney. Absont from tho stato, Councilman A. Ashoim. Prosident Bro~m called tho moeting to ardor, and stetod that tho princlpal businoss to bo c6nsidorod ~as the matter of solling the $65,000.00 Capital Fund Bonds of tho City of Cle~ mont ~hich had previously beon advortised as part ot tho issue ot Ol25,000.00 authorizod by tho Council, and for ohiCh no bids had baon rocoivod. Roprosont~tives of $ovoral bond housos ~oro prosont, and ~rosidont Bro\1.n announced that tho Council would cansidor the pri va to salo of tho bonds. Thoreupon Vandorsall & Company, through its roprosont- ative, offorod to purchaso from tho City $32,000.00 par value ot tho bonds romaining on hand, and to pay 95 por cont of par for tho sarno, togothor with accrued interost aftor Janua~ 1st, tho interest coupons dUG January 1, 1928, to be dotached frQm tho bonds before dolivory ; dotails of dolivory to bo later ar- rangou~aftor cocmunication with their hOC10 offico. Aftor discussion, Ur. Tabor moved that this of tor be accept- od p the motion boing duly socondod \"Ias p'llt to a voto end the voto boing takon upon roll call uas as follows : Ayes : Broun, Bailoy, Davonport, Tabor. After discussion, it was moved by ~r. Tabor that this ot- for bo acceptod ; tho motion \"las seconded by Councilm8n Bailoy, and upon roll call tho voto ,was as follows : Ayos : Bailey, Brown, DaVenport, Tabor. !locs: None e, The represontatives ot the bond houses roquestod tho Council to divide the maturities of tho bonds purchased as equally as possible bot~oon the two buyors ; uhich was agreed to by tho Council, and tho. Clerk \7a8 instructed to apportion tho bonds so that each buyor \"JOuld havo approx- tmatoly the same maturities. LIr. Tabor then movod that tho Prosident ot the Council, tho Clerk a.nd tho City Attornoy, be authorizod to do all things necossary to porfdct the delivory of the bonds to the purchasers ; tho motion was seconded, and put by Vice- prosi~ont Davonport, and uas carried, The Clerk presented an estimate from the City Engineer to the Manley Construction Company for $1751.00 being for work done on Paving project #6.
