Mr. Brown stated that the purpose of this neeting

was to det~rmine whether or note the City Council would
amend that part of Ordinance number 107 in Section three
relatinz to the time of fi+ing petitions for candidates.
Mr. H.F.Bai1ey, chairman of the ordinance committee,
offGred an ordinance changing the time of Ordinance #107 to
read the first Tuesday in December instead of the first
Tuesday in November. Said ordinance was paosed on its first
r:)ading. Mr. Bailey then moved tha t the rule:J be suspsl1.d-
3d and tJle ord~nancG passed to its second reading. ~w.
Bailey then moved and seconded by Mr. Davenport and carried
that the ordinance be passed as Ordinance 1/112.
