10-04-1927 Regular Meeting The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council of The City of Clermont, held at the City Hall, Tuesday, October 4th at 7:30 P. M. 1'1 ~ 7 .. .., .The meeting was called to ordnr and presided over by the President, H. C. Brown. Roll Call by the Clerk showed the following members present: H. C. Brmvn, W. M.Davenport, C. Z. Tabor, H. F.Bailey, Councilmen; W. N. McKinney, Mayor, George F. Westbrook, Attorney, Isam Blackbu~, Clerk. The minutes of the Special Meeting of September 23rd were read and approved, Special Meeting of September 27th and Special Adjourned Meeting of September 27th were read and approved. R. F.House, City Treasurer; offered the following report which ~as accepted: Balance in Par~: Account $246.63 29.23 446.55 285.00 17.36 245.52 Balance in Sinking Fund Baaance in General Account Balance in Interest Account Balance in Fire Account Balance in Water Account Balance in Pub~icity Account' Balance in Street Acco:lnt 3.11 Tot a1 20.92 $1$94.32 William Bess presented petitions signed by twenty- five residents and free holders of the City of Clermont asking that the following names be placed upon ballot as candidates to be voted upon December 13th: For Mayor: C. H. Roumi11at. . ~ .~ For Councilmen: W. M. Dav3nport, G. A.. Maves, J. E. ~;(estbrook, Howard E.Mills, R. W.Simms. It was unanimously agreed that the City Council entertain the Fire Company at a supper in the near future at some convenient place. The Clerk and Fire Chief were appointed as a committee for arrangements. Mr. H. F. AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor ~nd City Clerk of the City of Clermont to execute a lease to the Clermont Woman's Club for certain pro- ~ ~ perty in the City of Clermont. Aftar the Clerk had read said ordinances, it was regularly moved ~nd seconded and carried that the ordinances should be passe4 at their first reading. Mr. Bailey then moved, seconded by Tabor and' Carried that the rules be suspended and the.ordinances passed to the second reading. Mr.Bailey then mqved and second- ed by Davenport and carried, that the ordinances be pa ssed on seGond reading as ordinance #~ and #___.
