02-01-1927 Regular Meeting .. Regular monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont, held at the City Hall at 8 o'clock P. M., February 1, 1927. . ,- .'~ -., -. The meeting was called to order and presided over by the President, H. C. Brown, and upon roll call by the Cl~e fo,llowing WO~ I t1~~'ted present: H. C. Brown, W.'M. Davenport, H. F. Bailey and C. E. Tabor, Councilmen; W. N. McKinney, I mayor, B. W. Wait, City Attorney and lsam Blackburn, Clerk. Absent: Andy Aasheim, Councilman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The President then appointed a committee consisting of W.M. Davenport, H. F. Bail~y, and D. A. McClellan to ~ind a suitable place for the disposal.of gargage. Mr. Pike 'Asked that lights be put in the tennis court at the park. The City Council thought that the Whole park should be lighted, and a committee consisting of C. E. Tabor, W. M. Davenport, and H. F. " Bailey was appointed to investigate. Mr. John Acord, Fire Chief, asked that per- mission be given for two of the fire department to sl~ep at the City Ha1i. o~~ion was granted. Mr. W. M. Davenport was instructed to have two fire hose connections placed in Lake Minneo1a at the most suitable places for the protection of the wholesale district. He was also instructed to take full charge of seeing about the pumping /~. of water. The Committee dVOccupational License asked for more time. The City Clerk read Mr. L. D. Edge's pro- posal to sell the C~ty a part of the old bank fixtures at Groveland at the price of $5.00 per foot. and the proposition was accepted. The City Tax Assessor asked that he be assisted by two men in making pp the tax assessment for the year 1927. It was moved, seconded and carried . that the City Council ask the Cler.mont Realty Board to furnish two men from their organization to assist the assessor in this work.
