D~venport, Assheim, Tabor Bailey and W N McKinney Mayor,B W Wait Attorney and Isam Bla.ckburn Clerk. Upon motion by Tabor, seconded by Assheim the Clerk was instructed to turn over to B W Wait City Attorney all delinguent Taxes and all past due paving assessment with 1nsturctions that he proceed to co}lect sa~e. Those voting" Yes ", Tabor, Assheim, Bailey and D Davenport. The following petition was presented by ~ C Cork and signed bY. C D Kennedy and. fifty-six other tax payers of the Vity of Clermont. PETITION We, undersigned citizens and taxpayers of the rown of ClermDnt, respectfully petition your honorable body to levy a two mill tax for pubilcity purposes, in making up budget for 1926 and to appropria te the SlUn raised by tl1 is levy for publici ty purposes, taking credit, however, for such sums as have already been appro- priated. We further petition your honorable body to ~lrn all sums raised for publicity purposed over to the Clermont Chamber of Commerce, believing that to be the proper organization for the handling of such funds. The following notes were given; Two to C 0 Ro.e," one for Seven hundIi"ea and eighty three dollars and one for Seven hundred and seventy seven dollars. 'f ~ ".:. :,; The clerk then read a proposed ordinance to Levy and fixthB rate of taxation on all property, Real, Personal and mixed, wi thin the corporate limi t13, of the City of Clermont for the year 1926. Thereupon, Mr Tabor moved and it was seconded by Mr Bailey, that the rules be suspended and the ordinance pussed to the second reading and was passed as ordinance # 101.
