SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT
Held at,the City Hall July 16, 1926 11:00 A. M.
Meeting 'called to order by it's President, H. C. Brown,
and roll call by the Clerk showed the following present:
H. C. Brown, President
Wm. Davenport
Andy Aasheim
H. F. Bailey
C. E. Tabor
Mr. Brovm made a report of a trip to Tavares with the
officers of the First State Bank, he said that a commitee
was soon to meet with the State Competroller with a prop-
osition whereby they thought that the several banks in
Lake County would soon be opened.
Wilkins, Myers and Messick stated that they were not
in a position to oontinue with their work of dredging the
lakes on account of the City's funds being tied up in the
First State Bank. Cox and Bryson discontinue paving for the
'same reason.
The City Engineer was instructed to barricade Minneola
Street from West Avenue to 11th Street and Earl Snarr in-
'structed to keep red lights on it at night.
Cox and Bryson asked for an order to Wright, Warlow &
Company of Orlando for $25,000 and was granted.
Upon motion by Aasheim, seconded by Bailey, the City
Clerk was instructed. to open an account with the First
National Bank of Clermont,
Meeting adjourned to meet at the call of the President.
