Meeting called to order by predident, H. C. Brown. Roll Call by Clerk showed the following present: ,f;' H. C. Brown Wm. Bavenport A. Aasheim H. W. Bailey C. E. Tabor . .~. 'I.. " ., After a discussion it was deemed BRpedient to borrow $5,000.00 form the First State Bank of Clermont for Ninety days to make payment on a Note of $22,700.00 held by the 'Atlantic National Bank of Jacksonville. Therefore, upon motion by H. W. Bailey, which was duly seconded by Wm. Davenport, the Clerk was ordered to draw up the following resolution:- '. RESOLUTION. Clermont, Florida. J"une 18, 1926. Whereas it is necessary to make a moan on the First State Bank of Clermont, against the City of Clermont in the Sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), which sum will be due September 18, 1926. Therefore Be It Resolved that the Mayor and President of the Council be empowered to make said loan for the period of ninety d~ys with interest at the rate of 8%. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and exact copy of the resolution passed at a regular meeting of the City council of Clermont and at which a quorum was present, held at the ~ffice of the City Clerk in the City of Clermont, County of Lake, State of Florida. McClelland as Chief of Police and, aside from his regular duties, to have charge of the Street Cleaning Department at a salary of $200.00 per month.
