Minutes of Regular Adjourned Meeting of the City
Council of the City 'of Vlermont, held June 11th,
1926, at two o'clock P. M,

The City Council of the City of Clermont met in
regulro" adjourned session at the office of the City Clerk of
tile City of Olermont, that being the usual place of meeting',
at two o'clock P. M. on June 11th, 1926. Present, Council-

The meeting was called to order and presided over
by the Chairman of the OOW1cil, Mr. Hi C. Brown.
Mr. H. C, Brown stated the object of ,the meeting
waS to receive bids on the sale of $78,000.00 of street im-
.'
provement bonds issued by the Oity of Olermont, dated June 1st',
1926.
Mr. lsam Blackburh, Olerk of the ~ity Council, pre-
sented to the meeting proof of publication of the notice for
-I the sale of $78,000.00 of street improvement bonds, which,
upon motion duly made and seconded, waS ordered filed in the
archives of the City.
Mr. Blackburn then stated to the CoW1cil that only

one bid had been received, from Coi & Bryson Paving Company,
a copy of which is as follows, to wit:
"Honorable City CoWlcil,
Clermont, Florida,
Gentlemen:
For $78,000.00 e% CDlf of vlermont Bonds, being dated
June 1st, 1926, described in the attached notice of sale as'
being offered for sale at this time, which notice t~ hereby made
a part of this bid, we will pay Seventy-four Thousand One Hun-
dred Dollars ($74.100.00) and accrued interest to date of deliv-
ery, and will accept delivery and pay for s&id bonds in accord-
ance with said notice of sale.

We enclose herewith a cerfified check on the 'First
State Bank of Clermont, Flor;ida, in the amount of $2500.00 payable
tQ the order of the City ofUlermont. This check is to be returned
to us if this bid is not accepted, otherwise to be held by said
City, and when the bJnds are delivered and paid for under the terms
of this bid, to be 90nsidered as an advance part payment therefor,
or to be retained as and for liq~idated damages in case we fail to

After considerable discussion, on motion d!:uly
made and seconded, it was unanimously resolved to reject
tge samd bid,' and the Clerk walB directed to return' to Cox
& Bryson Paving Company its certified check which accompanied

WHEREAS, it is necess,ary to renew a loan held by th
First StateBank against the 9ity of Olermont in the sum of
Dollars ($

be due June 14th, 1926:

NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor
and the President' of th~ Oouncil be e~owered to renew said
loan for ~;he period of three months \'\1i th interest at the
rate of 8%.
