05-06-1924 Regular MeetingOrdinance was read a second time. On motion duly Made and seconded,
the said Ordinance was passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of
the Council.
The President of the Council tnen stated that in his opinion , the
interests of the town would best be served by the purshase and in-
stallation of a 100 H.P. En;;ine and 75 K4rT generator in place of the
larger ki,7ine and generator which had been decided upon in a previous'
meeting of the Council and for which a tentative order had been
placed, and stated the facts and reasons upon which his belief was
based, After considerable discussing, on motion duly made and
second-ed, it was resolved to invite Mr. risk representative of the adorth-
ington Pump and Machinery Corp. to come back to Clermont and submit
a bid on a smaller Unit. On Motion duly made and seconded, the :meet+!
adjourned subject to the call of the president.

lJestbrook. After considerable discussion it.was moved and seconded
that we confirm the previous action of the'Council as to buying a
smaller equipment and pursha.se.150 HP as contracted for. Carried.

the call of President.

meeting was to change the date for Election of Bonds.
Moved by Brovn, 2nd by Bess that the Ordinance No-62 be re-
pealed. Carried.
Moved by Bess, 2nd by Brovm that June 3rd be Election Day.
Carried.

Minutes of the Reular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Clermont.
The; re;ular monthly meetin3 of the City Council of the City
of Clermont was held on LI_-y 6th 1924 at 7.30 P.M. at the
usual meeting place of the Council at which were present all
memburs of the Council namely; Messrs. H.L._House Pres., H.C.
Brown, J.D: 'ones, D.J. Westbrook end 4.1.1. Bess.
The meetinr; was called to order and presided over by H.L. House

Water- Viorks Plant made the following report in Deference to
the minimum needs for the City as to extensions of water mains
and electric light lines; 6 in. water mains to run from the
intersection of i._ontrose and Seventh St. along Seventh St. to
its inte i section ;with Che ctnut St. thence eastivardly al.)ng
Chestnut St. to its intersection with Fifth St. and to connect
with the present 4 in. main leading out to the Hei,hts; also
a 3 in. main from the intersection of I.Tinnehaha Ave and 2nd.

also a 6 in main from -the intersection of Ilontrose and Fifth

six new transformer and new poles. The three phase lines'would
require No.4 wire and two phase lines would require no 6 wira.
Mr. Lorrison also recommended placeinr; the three phase wire tinder
zround in conduit instead of erecting it oil poles. ne estimated
.the minum coEt of these extensions at $2500 stateing however that
the cost would be greater if the three phase lines should be
laid in conduit and t hag the estimate -allowed for labor :ras `
probably too little._
The report of C.VT. oe City Treas, was made and accepted.
The report of Edythe Litzrodt, City Clerk showed delinquent amounts
due for water and lights to be as folloyrs; Meters $133,85;
water $63.00; Lir*hts $178.80; Total $375.65
Pair. Roe presented four notes of the City to the First State bank
of Clermont, a.7gregatin $3,000.00 which were due.

Upon motion duly made and sec nded the hour for the
regular meeting of the Council was changed from 7.30 P.M. to 1.00PM
There being no further business, the meeting, on motion duly
made and carried, adjourned to meet again on Friday, May 9th at
1.00 P.M.
