P.:inutes of the Regular meeting of June 3rd, 1925,
The meeting was called to order by resident House.
Present were H.C. brown, Wm Bess, D.J. Westbrook, J.D. jories and
H.L. House.
Heading of the &inutes of Meetings of May 6th and 9th. Approved.
® After discussion it was decided by a motion from Mr. Bess and 2nd
by Jones that the city give a five year lease of the lots near
the Methodist Church to Civiv Club, they to improve the property
includeing the I;:otor Camp House and grounds as per previous
agreement, The lease to draw $1.00 per year payabel in advance
adn in case any ts;xes should -be assessed against said property
the Civic Club to pay same.
Pres. House appointed Attorney Waite to draw le -se covering
contract.
Discussion of street line effecting Chestnut at, west of 7th St:.
No decision reached.
D.C. Morriarty proposed to the City Council that in re -constructing
his sidewalk, covered during the paving, that he wyould pay ; of
thepart covered and city pa _. Moved By Jones, 2nd by PJestbrook
that we accept this proposal. It was also regularly carried that
we use the same method in regard to apinks Lot.
The Council received a letter from H.L. Johnson asking them to
take some action in regard to eonditions'in McCain's Chicken Yard.
President House appointed Committee on Sanitaion to inspect and
report at next meeting.
It was decided to take up matter -of payment on Chemical En;;ine
at the first meeting after Bond Election
D.L. 'Lliorr son reported that we can secure One Ton Truck from
Harry Addison fro $30.00. It was moved and seconded that Pres.
House and Attorney Waite take charge of the matter and if papers
are satisfactory, to purchase same.

Attorney Waite reported vrork on Traffic Ordinance, which will be
ready fro next meetin?.
After discussion about cemetary, H.C. broom and J.D. ,Jones were
i structed to confer with owners of same and see if the City
could make some arrangement toward keeping same in better repaid.
An Applicat&nn from.. Hamrick for the office of Marshall was
received and read. t was layed on the table.
Bid of F.A. sharpe on Sidewalk construction read, offer is 150 per ft.
Mr. Waite reported in regard to his conference with Mr. Giles about
Bond Issue; as soon as lair. files received figures on cost of
paving; and amount assessed valuation of city, he expects to be
able to get final approval from Judge Thompson.
