Thompson, Clerl:. ;- .~. The president stated that the main object of ths called meeting was to confer with the members of the fire departm ent,but asked the visistors to state their requests befmre the business of the evening was taken up. Mr. Pool pr~ented his revmsed plat of his Sub-Division as/~~~ made by City Enginee~or the approval of t~e Council. On this ~lat the fact was brought to notice that the ~blic Park called for 390' instead of 400' as had been requested by the Council. Mr. Pool stated that to give more would spoil the size of his lots and that they thought 300' a fair amount to allow the City considering the amount of lake frontage they o\vned. After discussion C.E.Tabor made a Motion that The Plat of Indian Hills Sub-Division be approved · Motion secondedby Blackburn. Ca~ried. A motion'that the streets yet to be paved should be assembled and bl9.e pres:e.nted to city Engineer for, an estimate of cost to be presented to the Council for their approval was seconded and carri ed. ' ' G.D.Cribb was asked to give his report as to the best organization of the City Fire Dept.,which is as follows: DL.Morrison,Chie%, G.D.CribbtAsst.Chief and #1 Driver, R.R.Mims Driver #2, R.R.Rogers,Driver ~3,Hugh Davenport,John Achord, ' Nozzleman and Russell House and l~. Friez as extra helpers. D.L.Morrison recommenRed that the Asst. Chief be paid a monthly salary of $40. Upon motion duly made and seconded it was decided to accept this recommendation,with the understanding that the . Asst. Eng. wou~d keep the fife engine in repair,city to futnish parts whenever needed. The matter of p~rchasing coats and hats was discussed and decision was referred to A.Aasheim And D.L.~ Morrison. I~. Cribb was instructed to have the 'Si'ren connected and have same blown at noon' each day. The problem of ho~sing the new engine was refer~ed to 1~. Aasheim with power to act. The American La France Representative was requested to notify his company that the City must have the Tires changed to Pneumatic as per the Contract.
