~MlNUTES OF REGULAR CALLED MEETING CITY CmuNCIL~CITY OF
'CLERMONT,HELD JULY 30th,at 9:30 Oec10ck. 1925.

Meeting called to odder by acting ~esidcnt, Isam Blackburn.
Roll call by c1erk- Present: H. C. Brown, Andy Aashiem, C.ETabor
and lsam Blackburn. Absent:W.M.Bess.
Mr. Blackburn stated that ehe called meeting was tor the purpose ot
discussing several important matters and asked Mr Brown to report
on the progress ot the test well being put down by the Layne-South- '
oasterD Company in accordance with their contract made with' the
Council sometime ago. 0 M1~, Brown said that the test would soon be
available and suggested that the Council decide where the water should
be sent tor analysis to be made.' A motion was made by Tabor that
two tive ga110m samples be sent ,one to State Board ot Health,other
to The University ot G~ines~i11e Motion seconded by Aashiem Carried.

The Council gave their full endorsement to the Clean-Up ~roclamatio.
aDd auggestod that a crew of workmen be put under the leadership ot
Supt. ot Water Dept. ~ with the instructions that all the weods
and ruBbish be cleaned up where ever needed and cost to be included
in taxes against property.
The proposed Go1t Course was discussed at lengbh, and all agreed
that the town needs s~e. A motion was made by Tabor "~~~~ that a
disinterested commtttee of three be appointed to investigate a
desirable location tor the liDks and to bring their report before
the Council tor consideration. Motion seconded by Aashiem. Carried.
Commitee appointed: F.B.Roe, ~ss" House and Don Lochner.
Mr. Brown read a lette~ he had written the Atty. of A. C. L. Ry.,
Mr. Hunter, of Tavares, in regard to Crossings at Fourth St. and Lake
Ave. inasmuch as he had not received an answer to same and the
paving has been held up so 10Dg en account of thlse crosRings a
motion was made that Mr. Cox be instructed to go ahead and cross
the railroad at 4th st and Lake Ave. Motion seconded. Carried,
C. E. Tabor broue~t before the Council a request from the Masons that
if the prop88dd bond issue for a City Hall c~rried that they be
permitted to add a third floor room for their lodge roam. Cost ot
erectiC1'l to be taken care of by the Lodge.ti-A motion w~s made that
the requost be gramted with the understanding that the Masons would
finance the additllD ot. third story aDd they be char~ed rent on a
10% basis.of cost a~d be given a lease on the third floor ro~ as
many years as is necessa~y to cover %mountiot renta1ion b~~lSt
mentioned. Motion secondea and carried. Th s mation s suuJec
to any provisions made in contract between the ity Council

No futher business on hand the meoting adjourned to meet at the
call of President.
