Meeting called to order by the President. Roll call by the Clerk
found the following members present:
H.C.Brown, Pres. Andy Aasheim and C.E Tabor Absent: Is~m Blackburn
and Wm. Bess.

t,al{O care or some notes wn.i.cn. wel"e due am a few other matters which
needed immediate attention.
Clerk presented a notice from The Atlantic National Bank,or
Jac!(sonvil1e, stating that the uity Note fOl" ;22,'700.00 was due
August 21i'25. Iuter~ston same $454.00. A motion was duly made and
sedonded hat the Clerk pay the 1nterest and the Atty. proceed wi~
the validation of the OrIg1nal Paving A8se9~men~ Bonds, held by
Atlantic National Bank. Motion carried.
The ~resldent called to the notice of Council that on Scp.l,
'900.00 Interest would be due on water Improvement Bonds and there
was not suff1cient funds 1n that fund to vover the several amouts
now duo. upon motion duly made and seconded. the rollowin~
nesolution was adopted: - 0
August 26,1925.
Whereas, it is necessary to borrow Twelve Hundred Fifty Dollarq
($1,250.00 ) from The First State Bank, of Clermont,Florida,to be
placed to the credit of Interest Fund, Now Therefore, Be It Res olved
that the Mayor and the ~resident of the City Council be empowered to
make said loan for the period of three months (3 mos ) with interest
at the rate of 8~.

Same being a lean to Sidewalk nccount. TIpon motion the interest was
was ordered paid from Sidewalk Fund and the Following Resolution
adopted:
August 26,1925.
Whereas, it is necessary to renew the loan held by The First State
Bank,of C1ermont,against the City of Clermont in the sum of Three
Hundred Dollars ($300.00), Due August 23,192S,Kow Therefore, Be It
Resolved that the Mayor and President of the City Council be empesam
empowered to renew said for the period of six months (6 mos.)
at the rate of 8~ interest.

A message from the Western Union sent through the A.C.L.Ry. Co
was brought before the Council by Pres. H.C.Brown in which they
wanted to know if a Western Union Office was established up town
within 60 days would the City withdraw their Suit against the
company in regard to failure of delivery of the Atlantic Natiofdal
bid on $222,000.00 Bond Issue? After discussion it 'was decided that
this was too ~"eat a price to pay for an office up town but they
would make concessions and the following motion was carried:
Upon payment of amount actually lost on bond bid ana the ostablis~
ment of an orfice up town the City will withddaw suit against
~estern union Tolegraph Co.

A building permit request submitted by Sam Seiler was appoved ~nd
Clerk ordered to sODd Mr. Seiler notice 0' same.
Mr. Walter Bess 'Appeared with arequest for a deRation for t35 00
from the Eublicity Fund to defray the Advertising expense of
Labol" Day Celebl"ation. Upon Motion made and sec'onded this
request was goanted and Clork notified to write check from
publicity Fund in this amount.
There had beon a complaint of the street lights not being turned
on early eough in the evenings President asked the Clerk to
look up the roading of contract with Florida Public Sel~ice Co
in regard to time same should be turned on and report at the next
meeting.
There boing no further business the Councilt adjourned to meet a.
