C.ITY OF CLERMONT, HELD SEPTEMBER 2nd.1925. at 8 O'clock. Meeting called to order by President. Roll Call: Present. H.C.&.own, WM.Bess, C E TAbor and Andy Aasheim. Don Lochner appeared before the Council asking that they allow the sum of $200.00 from Publicity Fund to be paid 10 him for the Gi~nt negatives taken by Underwood & Undel~ood when they made theie Aerial Views of Clermont and for which they had not been paid .The Councilmen agreed that no doubt these views had been good advertisi8g but they did not feel called upon to pay this bill inasmuch as it had not been authorized by them. After much discussion a Motion was made by Andy ;:~ Aasheim, seconded by Tabor, that $150.00 be allowed on htis bill and at the same ttme they go on record that postively no mDre bills would be paid by the City Council unless they had gone throu&~ the proper channel. Motion carried. A motion by Tabor that the Koehlor Park be mowed and put in order was secondeD and carried. The ~resident stated that the housing proposi~ion had become one that needed the attention of the Council as there were no vacant houses in town at the present time and we would not have room fDU tourists this Winesr and suggested that we follow the example of Orlando and many ther towns who are putting up tents to take care of the overflow. .fte had prices and samples of tents and had figured that a tent could be made comfortable for about $60.00 per tent. After discussion C.E. Tabor made a motion that the Chair appoint a committee to see if a suitable loaation could be found for 50 or 100 tents. Wm.Eess, Walter Bess and C. E Tabor were app~inted. The President stated that A.O.Todd had been to see him in regard to final payment tint his sidewalk contract. C.E.Tabor made a mot~on that Mr. To>>d be paid in full provided he agree to keep the walks in ~ood condit~~n for two years.Motion seconded and carried. The matter of City attorney's fee in connection with bond issues which. was laid on the table s~cral weeks previous was discussed and after deliberation a Motion was made and seconded and carried that the fee remain ll% and whatever the Atty. had collected above that amount should be deducted fnom future payments. . A Paving Peti~ion was pre~ented f01. the paving of Crystal Lake Drive, '\ Eastward from Montrose st. to Second 8treet,30 feet wide and with conc1.ete curb and gut tel. . . Minneola Ave. tistmeen Third and Crystal Lake Drive, 24 feet wide with concrete curb and gutter. Signed by K.EE.Munson and Sadie Munson. Since the above signers agl.eed to pay cash 1'00 this paving thet City Atty. was requested to prepare contracts for same. Clerk reported a deficit in the General Fund for the previous months .bills amounting to $594.19 and nothing on hands to cover this months expenses. Also that there would be a Hho~tage in the' stroet fund to cover the bills.. f.OD tho month. Upon motion duly made and seconded she was ordered to borrow $500.00 from tho Publicity Fund to be placed to the credit of General Fund. Same to refunded as soon as posiible. Tho President stated that a loan could be made from the First state Bank to tide uhe finaces over until ,taxes begin to come into tho treasuary. Upon a motion duly made and seconded and carried the following Resolution was approved.
