'~ The City Council o~ the City o~ Clermont met in regular session at the o~fice of the City Clerk,that being the usualmeeti~ place of said Council.on Tuesday .the 20th day of October at 80'clock. Present: Messers H.C.Bro\1n.Pres.Im.Bess.Isam Baackburn,and C.E. Tabor, and Stella ThompsontClerk. Absent: Andy Aasheim.W.N.McKinney and B.W.Wait.City Atty. Tne meeting was presided over by H.C.Brown,President of Council. A letter from Clermqnt Civic Club requesting permission from the Council to place benches in the Kehlor Park an~ requesting the Council to renew the electric light on the tall pole was received read anu ordered ~iled.On motion duly "made and seconded, the said request was granted. A ~epresentative of Messers.P.J. and C.M. Pool presented a revised proposed plat of the Pool lands lying within the City. and the Council signified its tentative approval of the same upon the condition that the Messrs. Pool should convey to the City. for park purposes, a parcel of land lying between the proposed Lake Shore Boulevard and L~ke Minnehaha. two hundred feet on each side of Twelfth Street, same to be put in proper condition for park purcposes by the present owners. On motion duly made and seconded the plans and speci- fications ~or the proposed city hall prepared by Messrs.Schoepll & Irby were adopted, and the proper city authorities were instructed to enter into a contract with said architects for preparing the plans and specifications, and supervising the construction of said building at and for a renumeration of 5% of the cost of the buildingu On motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned to meet again upon the call of ~ttest:~~~~ C1 y er , the President.
