HELD Nov~rnER 3rd.1925 at 8 o'clock
Meeting called to order by the president. Roll call by the Clerk
found the following members of Council present: H.C.Brown. C.E.
Tabor. Wm. Bess. Andy Aasheim and Isam Blackburn.
~tinutes of regular meeting Oct. 6th and adjourned meeting Oct.
20 read and approved.
~~. Tony LeBlanc appeared before the Council asking advice in
regard to a Plat of land he sold under the name of Hill Crest
Sub-Division, to F.H.Medley and others which plat had not been
approved by the Council. He was advised that he must go
t~rough the regular procedure necessary to replat land and when
these steps have been taken to presen~ the matter to the Council
for their approval~
A motion to amend the Ordinance regulating traffic by adding the
followi~ penalties was made and carried: For first offense a
fine of ,3.00 and costs or one day in jail, 2nd offense $10.00
and oosts or ten days in jail, all subsequent offenses fine
not less than $25.00 and costs or more than a $100.00 or 30
days in jail. Sentences left to the discretion of Judge.
Ordinance ordered published in !he Press so as to acquaint the
publio with the new regulations..
A motion to mark the names of streets on curbs and to mark
Stop Signs either in middle of streets or on curbs. as the
Chairman of Street Com. thinks best, was made and carried.
City Treasurer, C.W.Roe. gave his monthly report on receipts
and disbursements which was accepted as read.
The City Atty. presented the clerk Quit Claim Deeds from the
property owners on Chesnut Street to the City of Clermont for
the land given by them for street purposes. As this was the
fulfillment of an agreement made to the City Council Upon a
liotion duly made and seconded the deeds were accepted and the
Clerk was ordered to have same recorded and engineer instructed
to proceed with the paving of said street.
Upon motion duly made and seconded. the said ordinance. of
which the following is a copy. was duly passed and adopted as
read. by the unanimous vote of the Council.

S~CTION ONE.
That the location of Chestnuu Street between Seventh Street
and Eighth Street shall be forthwith established so that the
center line of said Chestnut Street shall be 280 feet south of
the center line of Highland Avenue.
Seotion 11.
That the width of said Chestnut Street between Seventh Street
and Eighth Street shall be forthwith established as fifty (50) feet
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of November. A.D.1925

An Ordinance Authorizing the Closing of Linden street from
Lake Avenue to the western boundary of Highland Terraces.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY OF CLERMONT:
SECTION 1.
That Linden Street shall forthwith be closed from its
intersection with Lake Avenue to the western boundary of
Highland Terraces, as~hown by plat of Highland Terraces
heretofore adopted by the City of Clermont, ap~roximately a
distance of 133.75 feet.

A request to replat Block 52 also the Goodenough property around
Sunset Lake was referred to City Engineer,Mr. Aasheim made a
motion that a warrant be issued against Mrs. Reba Brunson and
Sam Seiler for building within the city limits without permits,
motion seconded and carried.
A.B.McNiece, C.W.Roe & H.C.Brown rendered their report on finances
as follows: Nov. 2,1925
The finance committee find the assessed valuation of
the City Pro~erty $2,037,000 - and that the needs of
the City is ~30t,500 to cover operati,ng expenses for the
ensuing year - therefore we recommend that you adopt a
millage basis of 15* mills for this years tax levy.

Upon motion dUly made and seconded the recommendation of Finance
Committee was adopted as read and 15t mills declared the basis of
tax levy for 1925 - 26 to be pro rata as follows:

" The President appointed A. Aasheim as chairman of Fire Department
commi tt~e and asked that a meeting be called for Friday Nov.'9th
when'the members of Fire Department would be requested to meet
with the Council.

Sunday Band concerts were discussed and the schoo~ grounds were ,..,
decided upon as the best place to hold same provided this met
with the approval of the band boys.

City of Cler::lOnt will meet at the office of the Clerk of the
City of Clermont, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1925,
at two o'c10ck P. M. for the purpose of equalizing and correct-
. ing the tax assessment roll, as prepared and submitted by
Ru~.al House, Tax Assessor; and all persons owning property
situate within the Oity ofvlermont, who have any objections to
the assessment roll, or who desire any corrections made therein,
are hereby notified to file with the City Olerk before such
meeting their written petitions, addressed to the City ,Council,
se,tting forth any such objections or desired cchrrections.
Notice is further gi'ven tha. t said. assessment roll is
now on file in the office of the C~k of theCity of Olermont,
and that all persons interested may have ac~ess to same each
day frau this date to the third day of November, 1925, from
9:00 o'clock in the morning to 4:00 o'mlock in the afternoon,
