Reading of minutes of regular meeting City Oouncil of Nov.3rd,1925 and of regular adjourned meetings of Nav.9th'and 17th. Upon motion duly made and seconded the minutes were accepted as read. City Treasurer, C.W.Roe gave his regular monthly report on receipts and disbursements of oity funds which was accepted and ordered filed. Mr. Nunn asked for the approval of the Council on map of his Subdivision Lot 2, Block S, Mr. Bess made a motion that this plat be approved and the engineer be instructed to include it in his 01~icial map of the city,mo~fuon ~econded by Tabor, Carried. Mr. Mooty of the Fla. Pub. Servo Co. being present, the President of the COUnci10called upon him to report on the poor light service.enMrt~Mooty.8replied that ,I he had been waiting to get a definite" location for his new I pole line and was having some difficu~ty over this matter as the property owners objected to have the shade trees cut, . the cause for the poor light was thaf the feeders were entirely too small and this could not be remedled until the Council could give him the definite street location. ., . I . I Mr. Cox agreed to see about leveling up the sand and putting ;11.~. the road along the Lake shore in better condi tion. Mr.~.eMooty asked the Council to give him instructions to trim the trees on Montrose Street assuring them that they WQ.uld not cut any unneccessary amount, upon motion duly made and seconded this request was granted. Mr. Blackburn made a motion that the President wire the American LaFranc Co to cancel order for Pneuma:ti.c tires and that the city be allowed a credit 01' $250.00, motion seconded and carried. . After discussion it was agreed not ,to act on the matter of having a cur1'ew. . A general discussion on the stopping up 01' the storm sewerage system resulted in decision that the engineer should be instructed to change location of catch basin sib that they will not become clogged Mr.Tr:ff:..Cox appeared before the Council with a scheme for cleaning 6entral Lake by use of a drag line, he told the Council that would probably be the cheapest way to take care of XkK beauti1'ying the lake which are now an eye-sore to the public, he stated that he would take the contract to clean it for $8,000.00 or furnish the, tractor and the city to purchase this drag which cost $1100.00 and hire day labor which theJr thought they could ge.ttIilt'o.ugtloDn about $4,000.00, after discussion it was decided to accept the latter proposition. 4 .' Mr. COX presented the following cost of paving project #5 for the approval of Council. Grading 60~ crubic yard rock base $1.t7'Sq~ yd . Curb & gutter $1.;10 a foot, top fi~ish 33~ sq yd,.,. He assured them that these prices were in keeping with the increase of price of materials. Mr. Cox asked the Council to authormze him to proceed with the necessary grading on project #5, it being understood by him that if the Council is unable to dispose of bonds at satisfactory price he will take the bonds in payment of work, this agreement was satisfactory to both parties, therefore upon motion duly made and meconded he was instructed to proce~d with the grading on #5 project. . ~ A motion to instruct the city engineer to prepare an estimate for widening Pitt street. to 18 feet from East Ave. to the' end of present pavement WX&xmZdEXS~~~~ using uurb and gutter where necessary, was made and seconded and carrieQ.
