BUDGET WORKSHOP
JULY 14, 2008
The Clermont City Council met for a budget workshop on Tuesday, July 14, 2008 in the Council
Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Turville called the workshop to order at 6:00 pm with the following
Council Members present: Council Members Mullins, Goodgame, Hogan and Berlinsky. Other City
officials present were: City Manager Saunders, Administrative Services Director Van Zile, Assistant City
Manager Gray and City Clerk Ackroyd.
City Manager Saunders provided an overview of the fiscal year 2008/2009 budget.
Council and staff reviewed the various millage rate options.
City Manager Saunders provided a summary of the proposed pay adjustment plan for non-union
employees for this fiscal year.
Council and staff reviewed the proposed general fund reserves.
Council and staff reviewed the following department budgets: City Clerk, Planning and Zoning, Police,
City Council, City Manager, Administrative Services and Legal.
The Council requested reducing the number of newsletters distributed quarterly to three per year.
Council discussed planning for the 125 year celebration for next year.
City Manager Saunders provided an update on the Columbarium project at Oakhill Cemetery.
With no further comments, the budget workshop adjourned at 8:Olpm.
