Veterans' Parkproclamation
MAYORAL PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, on this day, November 11, 1986, as proud citizens of
Clermont, we have met here to dedicate this park in honor of all
of Clermont's veterans; and
WHEREAS, our veterans deserve and merit our continued remembrance
and appreciation for the sacrifices they have made for freedom and
the American way of life; and
WHEREAS, we can never repay our debt to our veterans, for it
is beyond any tangible price, but we can show our gratitude for
their exemplary deeds by dedicating this park in their honor;
NOW THEREFORE, I Robert A. Pool, by virtue of the authority
vested in me as Mayor of Clermont, and speaking on behalf of the
entire City Council and all residents of the community, do hereby
extend our sincere gratitude to the men and women who have served
so faithfully in defense of the freedoms which we continue to enjoy
as American citizens; and do hereby dedicate in their honor this
park, which from this day forward shall be known as "Veterans' Park".
