b,1HEREAS, of aZZ the important days we celebrate during the
year, fern are more worthy of special observance tl2an Veteran's Day,
which wiZ2 be honored on November 11, 1981;
WHEREAS, citizens of our nation and state Zive in freedom
today because of the contributions and sacrifices made by the men
and Women u~ho served in the armed forces zalaen our freedom zuas challenged,;
WHEREAS, today, more than a million Florida veterans continue
their dedication to the highest ideals of Americanism to strengthen
the fortress of our prized national freedom;
LIHEREAS, we can never repay our debt to our veterans, for
it is beyond any tangible price, but zve can show our gratitude. for
their exemplary deeds;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, I, Jim Hoskinsan, Mayor of
the City of Clermont, urge aZZ citizens to remember and be thank,fuZ
for Florida's veterans, servicemen and servicewomen for the devotion
they have shoz~n their community, state and nation.
