Farm-City WeekMAYORAL PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, without farms, cities would be barren monu-
ments of concrete; and
WHEREAS, without cities, farms would be primitive forms
of economic Zife; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that the interdependence of
farms, which produce food and fiber; and cities, which process
the food and fiber and engage in distribution be recognized; and
WHEREAS, Farm-City Week provides an unparalleled oppor-
tunity for farm and city people to become better acquainted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, Dennis Thomas, Mayor
of the City of Clermont, Florida, do hereby proclaim the week of
November 2Z through November 27, 1980, to be Farm-City Week; and
further call upon aZZ citizens to join in the spirit of the theme,
"Farm and City, Partners in Progress -- Key to the Future."
