Proclamation
1Nhereas, this year mars the Both anniversary of the ?Ciwanis Club of
Clermont, which was organized on ganuary 28, 1g26. B'rom that day this club has
been a valuable add tion to the civic, humanitarian, and culturallife of Clermont, and
1NFiereas, this club has served as a partner with other civic organizations and the
city government, and has provided much needed service to the entire community, and
'Whereas, the community extends its appreciation to the ?Ciwanis Club of
Clermont for the many valuable contributions it has made over the years and
recognizes their many worthwhile activities, especially for young people, such as: their
annual Christmas party for underprivileged children, many ~'err~c ZCid and
Bringing pup Grade awards, ?Ciwanis 7Cids Read and Read ng is fundamental
programs, sponsorshp of ~Cey Clubs at both area high schools to promote leadershp and
character, and the giving of 1 z college scholarsh ps each year through our two high
schools.
TIow, therefore, Z, 2-larold S. ~urville, 6y virtue of the authority vested in me
as Mayor, extend my personal congratulations andgratitude, as well as those of the
City Council and the community, on this Soth anniversary, and further urge all our
citizens to 6e cognizant of the many service projects of this club over these many years.
