R-03-1320,• •• ', L J CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION NO. 1320 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN AD VALOREM MILEAGE RATE TO PARTIALLY FINANCE THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATION OF THE CITY. WHEREAS, a portion of the revenue for the City's 2003-2004 Fiscal Year Budget must be raised from the assessment and levy of an ad valorem tax on each dollar of taxable property in the City of Clermont, Florida; and WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City Council of the City of Clermont that the assessed gross taxable value for 2003 for the City of Clermont, as prepared by the property appraiser of the County of Lake and received on June 30, 2003 is Nine Hundred Fourteen Million Three Hundred Twelve Thousand Six Hundred Forty- One ($914,312,641), that a tax rate of three point seven two nine (3.729) per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) valuation exceeds the "ROLLED BACK" millage rate of the City by Ten Point Six Nine percent (10.69%); and • WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City of Clermont, that to raise the sum of Three Million Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($3,239,000) required from ad valorem taxes for the general government operation of this City; an ad valorem taxation of all taxable property of this City is required to be levied. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, there is hereby levied and shall be collected on each dollar of taxable property in the City of Clermont, Florida, a tax levy of three point seven two nine (3.729) mils, or an adjusted millage rate that will raise an amount equal to Three Million Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($3,239,000) for the general government operation of said City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property Appraiser of the County of Lake, is hereby directed to extend the Assessment Roll of the City, heretofore equalized, confirmed and approved, and to deliver same tax to the Tax Collector of the County of Lake, and the aforesaid Tax Collector is hereby directed to collect said taxes at the time and in the mariner provided by law. • V ~ NO. 1320 CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION .7 Page 2 DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS ~ DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2003.
