09-20-1994 Regular Meeting• • CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 1994 The regular scheduled meeting of the Code Enforcement Board was called to order on September 20, 1994 at 7:33 p.m. Members attending were Edward Whitehead, Donald Burris, Jon Fortier, Martin Wright and George Wood. Member Steve D'Amico was absent. Also attending were Leonard Baird, City Attorney, Kenneth Elswick, Code Enforcement Officer and Mimi Shaw, Code Enforcement Clerk. MINUTES of the meeting held August 16, 1994 were approved as presented. CASE NO. 94-09 Kimberly Smith P.O. Box 1563 Minneola, FL 34755 LOCATION: 521 Fourth Street VIOLATION: Order issued by the Code Enforcement Board August 17, 1994. At this time Mr. Whitehead asked all those present who wished to speak in regard to this case to be sworn in. Ms. Kimberly Smith, defendant, presently residing at 876 South Waterview Drive, Clermont, Florida, was sworn in. Ken Elswick, Code Enforcement Officer, noted that this was a continuation of the case from the previous month and the Order issued by the Board had not been complied with as of this date. However, Mr. Elswick noted that he was just informed by the City Attorney that a contract for demolition was received in his office late this afternoon. Mr. Baird stated that he received a fax this afternoon from Mr. DuBose, the legal representative for Ms. Smith, which included an executed contract for demolition of the structure. Mr. Baird further stated that he would suggest this case be continued to ensure the premises is demolished and cleaned-up in conformance with Code. Mr. Wood asked if there is an estimated date of completion. Mr. Baird stated that there was not a date specified in the contract. Ms. Smith, defendant, stated that they expected the work to begin within the next couple of days and hoped to have the work completed by the following week. A motion was made by Jon Fortier to continue this case until the October 18, 1994 meeting, however, if the Code Enforcement Officer determines that the Order has been complied with prior to this date this case shall be dismissed, seconded by George Wood and approved by a unanimous vote. • • CI'T'Y OF CLERMONT MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 1994 Page - 2 - At this time a discussion of changing the meeting time of the Code Enforcement Board from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ensued. After a brief discussion, a motion was made by Martin Wright to change the time of the Code Enforcement Board meeting from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., seconded by Don Burns and approved by a unanimous vote.
