E~'IRi~ DEPARTMENT OPERATIONAL LIP CITATION
'ii~EREAS, tine expense of operating and maintaining the Fire
Department of the City of Clermont is paid in its entiret~~~ by the
homeowners and taxpayers of this City, and
LvHEREAS, aforesaid Fire Department is operated and maintained
for the protection and safety of the homeowners and taxpayers of
this city, and
6~7HEREAS, the existing practice of permitting tine aforesaid
Fire Department to answer calls from. outside the territorial limits
of the City of Clermont decreases its protective and safety factor
to homeowners anti taxpayers of this city, therefore
HE IT RESOLVED that beginning sixty (60) days from this
date the Fire Department of the City of Clermont limit and confine
its operations to within the territorial limits of the City of
Clermont except as it may be called upon to fulfill its obligation
as a member of the Lake County Firemen's Association, and excepting
such agreements as may be entered into between the City of Clermont,
through its City ivlanager, and individual property owners and
municipalities.
