A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF NOT EXCEEDING $800,000.00 SANITARY SEWERAGE
IMPROVEMENT CERTIFICATES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, Florida pursuant
to Resolution No. 158 did authorize the issuance of not ex-
ceeding $800,000.00 Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Certificates
of the City of Clermont, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, Florida, pursuant to
Resolution No. 188, passed January 25, 1972, did cause to be
advertised. for sale in the Daily Bond Buyer and the South Lake
Press, the sale of these certificates as provided in Section 3
of said resolution, and
WHEREAS, the only bid received was that of the United
States Government, Department of Housing and Urban Development,
and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that this bid of
the United States Government, Department of Housing and Urban
Development to be an acceptable bid.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Clermont, Florida, that the bid of the United States
Government, Department of Housing and Urban Development be and the
same hereby is accepted as the highest and best bid and therefore,
the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to contract
with the successful bidder and complete the sale of these certificates,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the certificates issued
herein shall be payable at the Citizens Bank of Clermont, at Clermont,
Florida, or at the option of the purchaser, at the First National
City Bank of New York City, New York.
