R-91-726 CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION No. 726 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING UTILITY DEPOSITS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to charge a Utility Deposit to guarantee payment of future utility bills, and WHEREAS, Ordinance 239-C of the Clermont Code of Ordinances establishes the methods for adoption of a schedule of utility deposits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bythe City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, that: SECTION 1. A Utility Deposit shall be required for all renters of buildings used for residential, commercial, industrial or other purposes applying for water and sewer services. Ail deposits shall be evidenced bynon-transferable receipts issued by the City in the name of the prospective consumer applying for services. A refund shall be contingent upon adequate identification and surrender of deposit receipt. Ail deposits shall be held by the City until final settlement of the consumer's account and any unused balance will be refunded. SECTION 2. USE REQUIRED UTILITY DEPOSIT Residential $95.00 Ail Other Uses 2.5 times the estimated average monthly bill The Utility Deposit Shall become effective October 1, 1991.
