RESOLUTION
NO. 711
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE
CLERMONT AND GROVELAND HIGH SCHOOLS AND URGING THE LAKE
COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD TO PROCEED WITH THE PROJECT WITHOUT
DELAY.
WHEREAS, an overwhelming majority of the citizens in South
Lake County have expressed their support of a consolidated High
School; and
WHEREAS, a site for the consolidated school has been chosen
and purchased; and
WHEREAS, development costs for a new school will, in all
likelihood, increase if the project is delayed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Clermont hereby expresses their support for the
consolidation of the Clermont and Groveland High Schools and urges
the Lake County School Board to proceed with the project without
delay.

CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS 18TH DAY OF APRIL,
1991.
