RESOLUTION
No. 678
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN AD VALOREM MILEAGE
RATE TO PARTIALLY FINANCE THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT
OPERATION OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, a portion of the revenue for the City's 1990-1991
Fiscal Year Budget must be raised from the assessment and levy of
an ad valorem tax on each dollar of taxable property in the City
of Clermont, Florida; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City Council
of the City of Clermont that the assessed gross taxable value for
1990 for the City of Clermont, as prepared by the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake and received on June 29, 1990 is
One Hundred Forty-Eight Million, Nine Hundred Fifty-Seven
Thousand, Two Hundred and Ninety-Five Dollars [$148,957,295] and
that a tax rate of two point seven two nine [$2.729] per One
Thousand Dollars [$1,000] valuation exceeds the "ROLLED BACK"
millage rate of the City by fourteen point four two percent

WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City of
Clermont, that to raise the sum of Three Hundred Eighty-Five
Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars [5385,700] required from ad valorem
taxes for the general government operation of this City; an ad
valorem taxation of all taxable property of this City is required
to be levied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, there is hereby levied and
shall be collected on each dollar of taxable property in the City
of Clermont, Florida, a tax levy of two point seven two nine
[2.729] mills, or an adjusted millage rate that will raise an
amount equal to Three Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars [$385,700] for the general government operation of said
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake, is hereby directed to extend the
Assessment Roll of the City; heretofore equalized, conf firmed and
approved, and to deliver same tax to the Tax Collector of the
County of Lake, and the aforesaid Tax Collector is hereby directed
to collect said taxes at the time and in the manner provided for
by law.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, THIS 18th DAY OF September 1990.
