RESOLUTION NO. 2010-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION F
"PURCHASING APPROVAL LIMITS" OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT
PURCHASING POLICY TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE A CHANGE ORDER TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT THAT
DOES NOT INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY MORE THAN
10 PERCENT OR $25,000; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Clermont City Council by action taken on February 24, 2004, adopted
the City of Clermont Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Clermont City Council in an effort to efficiently manage and to ensure
the most timely and cost effective completion of City projects, desires to amend the Purchasing
Policy to authorize the City Manager to approve change orders in certain situations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida, as follows:
Section 1.
Section F. Purchasing Approval Limits" of the City of Clermont Purchasing Policy is revised as
follows:

The approval limits for the purchase of goods and /or services is as follows
Purchase Amount Approval
Less Than $500 Supervisor
$500- $2,499 Department Head if purchase is
included in the budget
City Manager if purchase is not
included in the budget
$2,500- $49,999 City Manager if purchase is
included in the budget
City Council if purchase is not
included in the budget
$50,000 or more City Council
• To avoid a delay in the progress of any project, the City Manager may approve, without
further Council action, a change order to an existing contract provided the change order
does not increase the contract price by more than 10 percent not to exceed $25,000.

Section 2.
Any resolution previously adopted by the City Council and in conflict herewith is hereby

repealed to the extent of the conflict.
Section 3.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
