WHEREAS, during the present emergency men in all walks of
life are being called to serve in the various Armed Forces of
the United States; and,
WHEHEAS, there are employees of the City of Clermont, who
may be called, or who may find it necessary to enlist in some
branch of the Armed Forces of the United States; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that any employees of the City of Clermont,
who may enlist or be called and/or drafted into any branch of
the Armed Forces of the United States and/or her allies, may with-
in one ( 1) year from the close of this war return to this city and
apply for the position formerly held by him and said applicant
will be re-employed in the same position at the same salary or
greater salary than he was receiving at the time of his enlist-
ment, call, or draft into the said Armed Forces; ana,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that subsequent City Councils observe
and follow the spirit and the letter of this Resolution.
