1'V3 ERE.5LS, the City of Clermont recognizes that mentoring students will improve academic
achievement and
'WHEREAS, the City of Clermont recognizes that mentoring students will improve student's
social competence and
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont recognizes that mentoring students will improve students
personal development and
'WHEREAS, the City of Clermont recognizes the importance of the implementation of Lake
County Schools Mentoring for Success Program at all Lake County Schools.
' WHEREAS, the City of Clermont continually promotes Community Partnerships that will lead to
the success of all students in Lake County,
' WHEREAS, the City of Clermont recognizes that Mentoring for Success reaches outside the
walls of schools to engage the resources of this fine community,
'WHEREAS, a successful partnership with the Lake County Schools and the Cities of Lake County
to provide 1000 mentors for 1000 students for the 2010 -2011 School Year is a desirable goal which
offers an opportunity to enrich the City of Clermont,
.■10'14 THEREFORE, 1, Harold S. Turville, Jr., Mayor of the City of Clermont proclaim
November 9 2010 as Lake County Mentoring for Success sign up week establishing a partnership with
Lake County schools to enrich the lives of our children in Lake County schools.
